What exactly is Botox?
Botox is a process that uses Botulinum-A that is injected into facial muscles which actually blocks their action, erasing the wrinkles that have formed, and helps prevent new ones from appearing.
What is the procedure like?
Using a tiny micro-needle, a very small amount of Botox is injected, very precisely into several locations on the face. Pain is minimal, most patients compare the sensation to a bug bite. There may be a slight temporary bruising at the injection site, however, if this does occur, it can be covered with make-up. This can be done as quickly as on your lunch hour and you can go right back to the office.
How long does it last?
Botox injections usually last around four months.
