Microneedling
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve the appearance of fine lines, enlarged pores, acne scarring and uneven skin texture.
At Plateroti Aesthetics, we perform traditional microneedling using the professional Delasco Microneedling Pen. Unlike radiofrequency (RF) microneedling treatments such as Morpheus8, traditional microneedling does not use RF energy.
How Does Microneedling Work?
During treatment, a specialized microneedling device creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This stimulates the skin’s natural healing response and supports the production of collagen and elastin.
Treatment depth can be customized based on the area being treated, your skin and your individual treatment goals.
What Can Microneedling Help Improve?
Microneedling may be recommended to improve the appearance of:
- Fine lines and early signs of aging
- Acne scars

What Should I Expect From Microneedling?
A topical numbing cream may be applied before treatment to improve comfort.
After microneedling, the skin commonly appears pink or red and may feel warm, tight or sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn. Some patients may also experience temporary dryness, flaking or mild swelling as the skin recovers.
Downtime is generally minimal, although recovery varies depending on treatment depth and individual skin response.
When Will I See Results?
Skin may begin to look smoother and more refreshed as it heals after treatment. Because microneedling works by stimulating the skin’s natural remodeling process, improvement can continue gradually over the following weeks.
A series of treatments may be recommended depending on your skin concerns and desired results.
Microneedling vs. Morpheus8
Although both treatments use microneedles, they are different procedures.
Traditional microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin to stimulate the natural healing and collagen-remodeling process.
Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivered beneath the skin’s surface and may be recommended when deeper remodeling or skin tightening is desired.
