What is NeoGraft® Hair Restoration?

NeoGraft®, also known as “Follicular Unit Extraction” (FUE), is a non-surgical hair restoration treatment. It is essentially a minimally-invasive type of hair transplant. In conventional transplant surgeries, the doctor removes a strip of skin containing hair follicles from the back of the patient’s head. He then harvests the follicles and places them in areas where the patient’s hair is sparse.

With NeoGraft® hair restoration, a special decide is used to extract the follicles from the patient’s head. Suction pulls the follicle down a tube and into a chamber. Our doctor leaves the skin where it is, so the patient is not left with a characteristic and embarrassing scar.

After sorting the follicles by diameter and length, our doctor uses a handheld device to implant the follicles into the patient’s head. The implanted hair will remain in place for a little bit of time before being shed, but the transplanted follicles will grow replacement hair within months.

NeoGraft® hair restoration does not stop the aging process, so some patients may need to get touch-up treatments. This is especially the case for people who are losing their hair to male-pattern baldness or female-pattern baldness.
